The proposal takes the form of a band of lettering along the building.
This band is used in a modular fashion, which creates a relaxed quality and allows one to look through it.
The material is aluminium; the colour is "new silver", a shade that is also found in the existing building.
The band of lettering takes up the horizontal lines of the façade.
The font is the current corporate identity font used by the museum.
The material, colour and form engage the existing architecture – through the font, the statements and texts the external lettering is related to the present and becomes topical.
The sign WIEN MUSEUM glows in the dark.
One module is placed at an angle at the corner of the building facing the Künstlerhaus and the Musikverein making a powerful statement that is visible from a considerable distance.

Der Vorschlag ist ein Schriftband entlang des Gebäudes;
das Schriftband ist modulhaft eingesetzt – dies ergibt eine Lockerheit und ermöglicht
Durchsichten;
das Material ist Alu, die Farbe ist Neusilber, das ist auch der Farbton, der sich historisch
im Gebäude wieder findet;
das Schriftband nimmt die waagrechte Linienführung an der Fassade auf;
die Schrift ist die nunmehrige CI-Schrift des Museums;
Material, Farbe und Form gehen auf die vorhandene Architektur ein – durch die Schrift und die
Aussagen, Texte wird die Außenbeschriftung jetzt bezogen und aktuell;
der Schriftzug WIEN MUSEUM leuchtet bei Dunkelheit;
an der Gebäudeecke Richtung Künstlerhaus, Musikverein ist ein Modul schräg positioniert, dies
setzt ein kräftiges Statement und das Museum wird so von weitem gut sichtbar;
