SOWI Innsbruck und MCI Gelände

Widmunginschriften sollten auch etwas Zurückgenommenes, nicht Aufdringliches haben – sie sollen sich in ihre Umgebung integrieren und diese nicht bestimmen.

Für diese Widmungschrift haben mich die Schatten der Fahnenstangen inspiriert.

Der Text wurde dreigeteilt und läuft in den schmalen schwarzen (Schatten)Linien.

Füllwörter wurden aus dem Text genommen und mit Leerzeichen ersetzt – dies lockert das Schriftbild auf und macht den Text leichter lesbar.

Dedications should have something reserved, unobtrusive about them – they should integrate themselves in their surroundings, rather than shaping them.

I took my inspiration for this dedication inscription from the shadows cast by the flagpoles.

The text was broken up into three parts and runs in the narrow black (shadow) lines.

The unnecessary filler words are taken out of the texts and replaced with spaces – this relaxes the appearance of the lettering and makes the text easier to read.
